The Basics
The Basics includes a tour of the garden, vegetable identification, identifying birds/insects/pests, planting seeds in punnets to take home, harvesting, washing and spinning salad mix to take home, and if time permits - a trailer ride to feed the horses.

Let's Eat
The Basics plus we will take a 'shopping' trip into the garden and harvest what we need to create a delicious lunch together. Children can then eat the food they prepared in our picnic area or take it home to share with the family.

Bring the Farm to the Classroom
So you can't make it out to our farm... Then let us bring our farm to your classroom or school garden.
Our time in your classroom or school garden could include:
- a virtual tour of our farm
- a day in the life of a farmer
- an exploration of the tools we use to grow the food
- a demonstration and experience of planting seeds
- a discussion about crop lifecycles from planting seeds, harvesting, sales and crop rotations
- the water cycle
- seasons in the garden
- insects - friends or foes
- plant biology, pollination, disease
- prepare a salad together
- or make a request of what you want us to teach.

Standard visits run for approximately 2.5 - 3.5 hours, but we’re happy to customise timing to suit your school's needs.
Activities differ according to the Program chosen. Activities include exploring the vegetable gardens, trying new foods straight from the earth, learning composting and planting skills, and possibly getting involved in simple food prep or tastings. We also offer optional add-ons like farm-themed craft for younger groups.
Yes. Paths are flat and walkable, though some areas may be grassy or uneven. We accommodate a wide range of mobility needs—just let us know your group’s requirements.
We take food allergies and dietary needs seriously. Please inform us ahead of time and we’ll ensure all tastings and activities are safe for your students.
Absolutely. We have clean, accessible toilet facilities and multiple handwashing stations around the farm.
We recommend closed-toe shoes, hats, sunscreen, refillable water bottles, and weather-appropriate clothing. We’ll provide a checklist before your visit.
Yes. We have covered areas where activities can continue if the weather changes unexpectedly. We'll communicate early if a reschedule is needed.

Yes, upon booking we provide a Farm Excursion Pack that will include a detailed risk assessment, public liability certificate, and other documents to make your excursion planning easier.
