Homegrown Organics — Garden Tour
10:00 – 11:30am
Homegrown Organics is a chemical-free, organic market garden at Upper Rollands Plains, in the hinterland of Port Macquarie. Our mission is to provide our community with fresh local vegetables and inspire people to try their hand at growing their own. On our guided garden tour, visitors walk through the garden beds, learn how we grow and care for our crops, and see how we manage pests and soil naturally without chemicals. We also show how we maximise harvest, including how we turn "imperfect" produce into delicious foods. It's a relaxed, hands-on tour where you can ask questions, see the farm in action and maybe even try something straight from the garden.
Terrain
A gentle walk of approximately 500 metres in total, taken at a slow and relaxed pace with plenty of stops along the way. The terrain is gently sloping, mostly on grass with some uneven ground. Suitable for toddlers through to the elderly; prams and wheelchairs can manage most of the route with assistance. Bring a small fold-up chair if standing for periods is a challenge, and wear a hat and closed shoes.
Farm Shop
Farm goodies including relish, honey, roasted beetroot hummus, peanut butter, delicious pies and refreshments. Chef2Farmer will also have their meat for sale throughout the day — bring an esky. Fresh seasonal vegetables and veggie boxes can be pre-ordered online and picked up on the day.
Bookings
Entry to the guided garden tour is included with your Hastings Farm Gate Tour ticket. Pre-order items below are separate and booked directly with us.

A gentle walk of approximately 500 metres, taken at a slow and relaxed pace with plenty of stops. Bring a small fold-up chair and wear a hat. If there's an abundance of flowers, bouquets will be available for purchase.
